About Joel Franquiz

Joel Franquiz is a young artist from Lenoir, North Carolina and is currently studying at Appalachian State University pursuing a degree in Fine Art in Photography in Boone, North Carolina. Joel has worked with different mediums over the years and decided to pursue polymer plates as his preferred medium. His goal now is to find ways to incorporate the many things he enjoys, from shooting with film, digital, sports and nature, and tie them to create narratives within them. Recently, Joel has been working in the field of sports photography. Joel focuses on capturing moments that the audience overlooks and strives to show emotions through images that are captured.
